Enjoy ‘Después no habrá nada’ by Santo Rostro
TODAY! TODAY! TODAY! TODAY! TODAY! The day of today has been marked in red in our calendar for months, bacause the new album ‘Después no habrá nada‘ by Spanish psych-doom rockers Santo Rostro is available everywhere. We really hope you enjoy it as much as we do – it’s easily the best heavy psych album made in Spain of the last decade. Check it out for yourself!
Officially out today, the album was premiered earlier this week through The Obelisk (US) and RockZone (SP). The buzz around it has been incredible, being featured in numerous independent medias around the globe such La Habitación 235, The Chapel Radio, Sin Bandera Radio, Planet Caravan, Noizz Webzine, RockZone, DenpaFuzz, Confined Rock, Mondo Sonoro, The Metal Family, Metal Cry, Rock The Best Music (all previous ones in Spain); Outlaws of the Sun (UK); Prog Rock Journal (IT); The Ripple Effect and The Obelisk (US); Weirdo Shrine (SL); Stoner HiVe (NL); or World of Metal (PT) for naming just a few.
Andalusian power trio returns with a dark-psych rock album, with long tracks including complex instrumental developments, processed atmospheres and a dirty sound plenty of echoes, different modulations and occasional synths. In ‘Después no habrá nada‘ you find from doom to sludge, with high doses of progressive metal and even Andalusian heavy psych. It could be understood as a great mix of bands such as Viaje a 800, Adrift, Oransi Pazuzu, Mastadon or Russian Circles, but with an imprint that only SANTO ROSTRO has.
The album was produced by the band itself; then recorded and mixed by Raúl Pérez at La Mina (Spain); and mastered by Mario G. Alberni at Kadifornia Mastering (Spain). Behind the artwork is The Braves Church, based on photographies by Manu Rosaleny.
